Video installation Minimum Monument: art as emergency
About the exhibition:
Continuous Refle(a)ction is a creative platform attempting to bridge art with the ecological environment to break through traditional patterns of art presentation. By carving out an organically interaction space, it intends to inspire people to pay more attention to the prominent environmental issues that the world is faced with today. Artists and designers from different regions and cultural backgrounds gather here together to voice their opinions on environmental protection through installation, video, sculpture, performance and photography. Also, Continuous Refle(a)ction invites artists both in China and from abroad to make site-specific production to reveal local environmental crises. Through the diversified visual and bodily experiences brought about by the artworks, we hope to present a channel for more people to pay attention to the environmental problems we are faced with and the possible actions we can take.

O Continuous Refle (a) ction é uma plataforma criativa que tenta unir a arte ao ambiente ecológico para romper os padrões tradicionais de apresentação artística. Ao criar um espaço de interação orgânica, pretende inspirar as pessoas a prestarem mais atenção às questões ambientais proeminentes com que o mundo se depara hoje. Artistas e designers de diferentes regiões e origens culturais se reúnem aqui para expressar suas opiniões sobre a proteção ambiental através da instalação, vídeo, escultura, performance e fotografia. Além disso, o Continuous Refle (a) ction convida artistas tanto na China quanto no exterior a fazer uma produção específica do local para revelar crises ambientais locais. Através das diversificadas experiências visuais e corporais trazidas pelas obras de arte, esperamos apresentar um canal para que mais pessoas prestem atenção aos problemas ambientais que enfrentamos e às possíveis ações que podemos tomar.
